I live very close to a lot of world class museums, and that makes me the luckiest guy on the Upper East Side. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Frick, the Guggenheim, the Whitney, The Museum of the City of New York, El Museo del Barrio, the Neue Gallery, and Cooper Hewitt are all within easy walking distance of my apartment. (And I'm not just talking walking distance for Mr. walked-700-miles-of-Manhattan guy. I'm talking, like, a 10 to 15 minute walk.) Cross the park, and there's the Museum of Natural History and the New York Historical Society. Take the subway a couple of stops and you're at the MoMA. I know! Can you believe it? |
