It's not as sexy as any number of streets in, say, the West Village, but you have to appreciate the context. 19th century row houses stand alone on a cobblestoned cul-de-sac, surrounded by tall apartments and Yeshiva University buildings. It's funny, because I really love the grid plan, it's a big part of what gives Manhattan its character, but I realize that so many of my favorite streets are off of it. I think I like the anomalies. |
