Possibly my favorite street in Manhattan. A guy named Peter Blake hated this bit of urban development, and he called it the "Slaughter on Sixth Avenue." I like that phrase, but for me it describes the awe-struck feeling I get when I look up. A massive swath of looming coolness. Or as Tom Wolfe called it, "Rows and rows of Mies van der Rohes"
